Welcome

Welcome!

So if you're reading this blog either my mom, bestie (Erika) or another friend and possibly (and I cross my fingers) a reader of my book(s). An author friend of mine suggested I start a blog for my readers to follow so I could communicate with them as well as keep everyone up to date. I think maybe this is premature but I couldn't resist.

If anyone does have questions I will try to answer them. Writing is my passion and something I wish I could do full time. Unfortunately, I still have a "day job" so sometimes my writing comes second. I'm currently working on writing two books. The first is the conclusion of the Magicals Trilogy and the second is a brand new series called Pedal to the Metal: Jagger & Londynn.

The Magicals Trilogy is what I would call a YA fantasy romance. It follows Arabella (a light magical) and Garrett (a werewolf). The are both oath bound to protect one another which creates a connection between them. They can each sense the other's emotions. However, Arabella and her mom have to flee from their small town in Alabama after her brother, Amadeus, goes dark and makes it his mission to kill Arabella. Three years later Arabella is returning to her small town that hasn't changed much however, she's completely different. The only thing that hasn't changed are her feelings for Garrett. The closer they get the stronger the connection and after finally giving into their feelings they find out that there is a prophecy that marks Arabella to become the strongest light magical in existence and Amadeus the darkest but one must defeat the other. As the story unfolds you'll find yourself searching for answers to questions you find.

I'm currently in the editing process for the second book in the Magicals Trilogy: Capture. So, hopefully it'll be ready soon.

Pedal to the Metal: Jagger & Londynn, is a story that consists of  five bad boy brothers from the wrong side of town but with some awesome cars. Jagger James is one of the brothers, he grew up in the poorer side of L.A. with his four brothers. As a teenager he fell in love with a girl but in a blink of an eye everything changed. He ran away to Vegas but now with his fathers death he's returning to help his brothers. On his first night back at the street races he jumps to the defense of Londynn Parrish, the extremely rich girl with the perfect image. However, Londynn has secrets of her own. They are both drawn to each other but can they trust each other enough to fight through the obstacles together and build a life?

I'm hoping to finish up Pedal to the Metal: Jagger & Londynn soon. Keep an eye for it as well.

So, I guess this will be the conclusion of my first blog. Feel free to follow me on any of my accounts listed at the bottom of the page or ask questions.

Until next time...

Book Review: Marrow by Tarryn Fisher

This book is definitely unique. I'm still not sure what happened. Margo Moon is a the prostitute's daughter. Her mother can be harsh and uncaring, similar to the place she calls home. Margo moves from the shy girl not wanting to be seen to a strong girl that is wanting to dish out poetic justice. As she moves through the book she starts to act on her instincts of justice. Some of the scenes will make you want to cringe as well as cheer her on. The people that receive her poetic justice are more than deserving of it but the idea of taking a life is also a hard thing to embrace. I don't blame her yet I do. It's very confusing and it makes you think about what you would do if you were in Margo's situation.  Move forward in the book some more and you find that she is suffering from a mental disorder. She has made up certain people in her life, or has she? I don't completely trust her doctor either and if you've read Mud Vein then you know why. I never could re...

Review: Coming Alive by Renee Harless

I finished Coming Alive by Renee Harless last night and I can't wait to start the next in the series. Review below: This was my first book by Harless and I wasn't disappointed. She has a great way of making you feel the emotions of the characters and boy did this book have the emotion. Harless puts Avery through so much and yet she still manages to move forward which makes her such an inspiring character. Avery--is a girl who has been through hell and back and is still standi ng. Everyone would understand if she gave up but she never does. I'm not sure how this poor girl didn't drown in her grief. She's also one of the most selfless characters I've read about. Logan--is the guy that every girl wants to be with and at first I'll admit I thought he only went after Avery because she was saying no. However he surprised me when he truly feel for Avery. His back story is heartbreaking as well but I was glad to see him let go of that a move forward. ...
