Recommendations

So, my goal was to do weekly recommendations however, writing has completely taken over my life which is great for you guys but not so much for my ever growing book collection. That being said there are two very note worthy books I have to mention.

Like a Memory by Abbi Glines:

Most of you probably know I'm a die hard Glines' fan so it would be very unlikely that I would ever not recommend her books. So Like a Memory follows two of the children from two of her other books. (You don't have to read the parents book unless you wish to) It was a great mixture of first love, second chances and obstacles. The book will make you happy, mad and sad. You'll need a box of tissues and something to slow your erratic heart rate lol! Nat and Bliss met as teenagers on summer. They fell in love and planned to keep in touch until Bliss is diagnosed with leukemia. Bliss stops replying to Nate and they go their separate ways fast forward some years and they are both back in the same place of their summer romance. Only Nate acts like he doesn't remember Bliss because he's still hurt by her silence. He's now engaged and oddly enough his fiancee is now Bliss' boss. Bliss is determined to live her life, she had been robbed of her teens but she's refusing to give up anymore. When she bumps into Nate again she can't help but still feel that connection. After spending time together it becomes obvious that they both have feelings for one another but what about his fiancee? Well he quickly ends things with her once he realizes what he really wants is Bliss. However, another tragic event strikes and the question remains will they be able to make it?

That's the best I can do without giving any spoilers!

The other book I have to recommend is Nevermore--A novel of love, loss & Edgar Allan Poe by David Nial Wilson.

I have yet to finish this book because all the free time I have I spend writing but when I do get to read this book I'm sucked into it. It's so good. It's full of mystery and I find myself really enjoying that. I'm hoping that at the end the questions are answered. It also has a character named Edgar Poe and I can't help but love him. (If you know me you know Poe is my all time favorite author). Anyways you should definitely give this book a try.

As far as other recommendations I'm currently obsessing over Gossip Girl (Thank you Netflix). I'm sucked into this show. When it comes to music you should check out Anderson East and of course Ed Sheeran's new album.

For a side note if you've read Magicals or Capture please leave a review or rating on Amazon or Goodreads, it's greatly appreciated and if you haven't checked them out click the link below to get yours now

Happy Halloween! I’ve got the perfect Halloween release for you! Breaking Bloody Mary is now live on amazon and it’s free on KU! Olivette and Penn grew up with a love for urban legends. Monthly trips to Conjurer’s Apothecary with the creepy shop owner, Oski, helped their thirst for the supernatural. Olivette and Penn were best friends and while Olivette believed in the magic behind the legends, Penn tried to explain them. Then one day Olivette makes a decision that will change everything. She changes herself to please her mother, leaving Penn and her love for urban legends behind until Bloody Mary is summoned and she manages to break free from the mirror that binds her. Book Review: Marrow by Tarryn Fisher

This book is definitely unique. I'm still not sure what happened. Margo Moon is a the prostitute's daughter. Her mother can be harsh and uncaring, similar to the place she calls home. Margo moves from the shy girl not wanting to be seen to a strong girl that is wanting to dish out poetic justice. As she moves through the book she starts to act on her instincts of justice. Some of the scenes will make you want to cringe as well as cheer her on. The people that receive her poetic justice are more than deserving of it but the idea of taking a life is also a hard thing to embrace. I don't blame her yet I do. It's very confusing and it makes you think about what you would do if you were in Margo's situation.  Move forward in the book some more and you find that she is suffering from a mental disorder. She has made up certain people in her life, or has she? I don't completely trust her doctor either and if you've read Mud Vein then you know why. I never could re...
