Pushing the Limits:

This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

In the third installment of the James Brothers series you finally get to meet the most impulsive James brother of all…Bowie.

One night over a decade ago Bowie James’ life changed forever. Flashing lights, cops, ambulances and three body bags left his world turned upside down and the love of his life Hollis Foust on the run.

Throughout the years Bowie has wondered and even searched for Hollis without any success and just when he’s about to give up hope she walks back into his life. Bowie’s little brother, Ace hired a new tattoo artist for his shop, Inkredible, only to find that Holly Sullivan is actually Hollis Foust all grown up.

Bowie has spent years trying to move past that fateful night and the memories of Hollis that still haunt him but now that she’s back does that mean he gets the second chance he’s never allowed himself to even dream of? However, Hollis’ disappearance left Bowie’s heart and trust shattered but could Hollis be the one to repair the damage?

Hollis’ life has been anything but easy and the last ten years have been no different. The memories of Bowie and his love were the only things that kept her striving to get through it all. All of her daydreams about being reunited with Bowie couldn’t have prepared her for the war of emotions it causes though.

“Hollis hit me like of a force that I wasn’t prepared for. She was my force of impact.”

“Because that’s what Bowie is for me, an uncontrollable wildfire of hope and it scares the hell out of me."

Book Review: Marrow by Tarryn Fisher

This book is definitely unique. I'm still not sure what happened. Margo Moon is a the prostitute's daughter. Her mother can be harsh and uncaring, similar to the place she calls home. Margo moves from the shy girl not wanting to be seen to a strong girl that is wanting to dish out poetic justice. As she moves through the book she starts to act on her instincts of justice. Some of the scenes will make you want to cringe as well as cheer her on. The people that receive her poetic justice are more than deserving of it but the idea of taking a life is also a hard thing to embrace. I don't blame her yet I do. It's very confusing and it makes you think about what you would do if you were in Margo's situation.  Move forward in the book some more and you find that she is suffering from a mental disorder. She has made up certain people in her life, or has she? I don't completely trust her doctor either and if you've read Mud Vein then you know why. I never could re...
