Book Review: Coming Together by Renee Harless

This book was really good. I have to admit I liked Austin and Nikki's story better than Avery and Logan's which was shocking because I didn't care for either character in Coming Alive. However, as a couple I loved them. I think I also misunderstood both characters in Coming Alive. In Coming Together I was able to understand both characters since the story revolved around them.
Nikki--was not the air headed ditz I had her pegged as. She was actually incredibly smart and loving.
Austin--was much more than the playboy who would never settle down. I had been so certain that he didn't care about Nikki and was just using her for hookups in Coming Alive that this book completely threw me for a loop. Austin had just been hurt so badly that he was scared to open up again.
Austin and Nikki make a great couple and I was so glad they got their happily ever after add a little suspense and action and the book is set!

This book is definitely unique. I'm still not sure what happened. Margo Moon is a the prostitute's daughter. Her mother can be harsh and uncaring, similar to the place she calls home. Margo moves from the shy girl not wanting to be seen to a strong girl that is wanting to dish out poetic justice. As she moves through the book she starts to act on her instincts of justice. Some of the scenes will make you want to cringe as well as cheer her on. The people that receive her poetic justice are more than deserving of it but the idea of taking a life is also a hard thing to embrace. I don't blame her yet I do. It's very confusing and it makes you think about what you would do if you were in Margo's situation.  Move forward in the book some more and you find that she is suffering from a mental disorder. Review: Coming Alive by Renee Harless

I finished Coming Alive by Renee Harless last night and I can't wait to start the next in the series. Review below: This was my first book by Harless and I wasn't disappointed. She has a great way of making you feel the emotions of the characters and boy did this book have the emotion. Harless puts Avery through so much and yet she still manages to move forward which makes her such an inspiring character. Avery--is a girl who has been through hell and back and is still standi ng. Everyone would understand if she gave up but she never does. I'm not sure how this poor girl didn't drown in her grief. She's also one of the most selfless characters I've read about. Logan--is the guy that every girl wants to be with and at first I'll admit I thought he only went after Avery because she was saying no. However he surprised me when he truly feel for Avery. His back story is heartbreaking as well but I was glad to see him let go of that a move forward. ...
