Review: Love' You Through It by Fabiola Francisco

As much as I loved Cash and Olivia's story I have to say I LOVED Cole and Bri's story even more. I was curious about Cole during the first book in the Rebel Desire series and I was so glad to finally get his story. Bri seemed great but was kind of the last person I expected to be the leading lady in this story.

Francisco literally ripped my heart to shreds during this book. I actually cried more than once. Heck, I started out in the prologue crying lol! As much as I rant about having to cry during this book I also kind of love books that tear at our emotions and this one does just that.

Bri--She is a fantastic leading character. In the first book of the series you seem glimpses of her and if you were like me you loved her! However, the prologue of this book starts out with Bri's world being turned upside down. She struggles a lot in this book trying to move forward and grieve. Sometimes she succeeds and other times she fails. However, I think Cole is really the one that made her realize she had to keep living. I loved how Fabiola didn't sweep Bri's grief under the rug like some books do. She put it front and center and allowed the reader to see just how hard grief and guilt can be and how it can destroy your life if you let it.

Cole--It won't come as a shock to anyone that knows me that I loved Cole in the first book. He's the drummer of the band and kind of has that bad boy reputation for sleeping around. In the first book you got glimpses of him being that guy but in this book you get to really see Cole. He had so much to offer and I loved that we got to see that side of him. He was the one that fought for Bri and kept pushing her and I think if hadn't been for him she might have gotten so lost in her grief that she never recovered. Cole showed he could be the man of any girls dream in this book.

Francisco has done a fantastic job with the Rebel Desire series so far and even though I'm excited for book three I'm not sure it can top book two for me. Love You Through It was fantastic and left the rest of the series with really big shoes to fill.

Book Review: Marrow by Tarryn Fisher

This book is definitely unique. I'm still not sure what happened. Margo Moon is a the prostitute's daughter. Her mother can be harsh and uncaring, similar to the place she calls home. Margo moves from the shy girl not wanting to be seen to a strong girl that is wanting to dish out poetic justice. As she moves through the book she starts to act on her instincts of justice. Some of the scenes will make you want to cringe as well as cheer her on. The people that receive her poetic justice are more than deserving of it but the idea of taking a life is also a hard thing to embrace. I don't blame her yet I do. It's very confusing and it makes you think about what you would do if you were in Margo's situation.  Move forward in the book some more and you find that she is suffering from a mental disorder. She has made up certain people in her life, or has she? I don't completely trust her doctor either and if you've read Mud Vein then you know why. I never could re...
