Book Review: Coming Unraveled by Renee Harless

This is by far my favorite book in this series! Everleigh and Brooks own my heart! With each book in this series my favorite couple has changed but I can honestly say it won't again. I'm so similar to Everleigh that I feel I can truly relate to her. When she cried, I cried. When she was happy, I was happy. I wanted her to succeed which gave me hope.

Everleigh--despises Brooks but not because she doesn't like him, it's actually the opposite. Everleigh is determined to never repeat her mistakes but Brooks can be the one to test her and make her push her own limits.

Brooks--is the good looking doctor plus ex-baseball player. His reputation proceeds him however Everleigh is different from him. From the moment he sees her he feels the need to protect her however, that's the last thing Everleigh wants.

Brooks fights harder than anyone I've ever seen and it only made me love him more. Once Everleigh's secrets come out you have a better sense of why she fights Brooks so hard. However, the ending will give you everything you need!

We’ve all heard about the legend of Bloody Mary but what if the legend wasn’t just a legend? What if Bloody Mary was real? What if she broke free from the mirror that bound her? Olivette and Penn grew up with a love for urban legends. Monthly trips to Conjurer’s Apothecary with the creepy shop owner, Oski, helped their thirst for the supernatural. Olivette and Penn were best friends and while Olivette believed in the magic behind the legends, Penn tried to explain them. Then one day Olivette makes a decision that will change everything. She changes herself to please her mother, leaving Penn and her love for urban legends behind until Bloody Mary is summoned and she manages to break free from the mirror that binds her. The only person Olivette can turn to is Penn and Oski. It soon becomes a clear that Olivette has secrets of her own and ...

Book Review: Marrow by Tarryn Fisher

This book is definitely unique. I'm still not sure what happened. Margo Moon is a the prostitute's daughter. Her mother can be harsh and uncaring, similar to the place she calls home. Margo moves from the shy girl not wanting to be seen to a strong girl that is wanting to dish out poetic justice. As she moves through the book she starts to act on her instincts of justice. Some of the scenes will make you want to cringe as well as cheer her on. The people that receive her poetic justice are more than deserving of it but the idea of taking a life is also a hard thing to embrace. I don't blame her yet I do. It's very confusing and it makes you think about what you would do if you were in Margo's situation.  Move forward in the book some more and you find that she is suffering from a mental disorder. She has made up certain people in her life, or has she? I don't completely trust her doctor either and if you've read Mud Vein then you know why. I never could re...
