Review of Sweet Little Thing by Abbi Glines

I finished Sweet Little Thing by Abbi Glines this afternoon and I'm not so patiently waiting for the next book to hit amazon! My spoiler free review below

I have been hoping for this book to come out on Amazon since Abbi first started talking about it. I even considered getting an iPad just to read it lol! I would not have been disappointed if I had purchased a iPad to read it but it was worth the wait.

Glines has a great way of writing these female leading characters who are so incredibly strong and they don't even know it. They face obstacles that would normally break people yet they still get up and smile daily. The love without too much fear and they aren't afraid to face the world. It's the type of girl I think most of us would like to be more similar to.

Then Glines takes the leading male character and makes him a cocky playboy. The type of guy that you know you're supposed to stay away from but you know you won't but as the book moves along you realize that there is so much more to the cock playboy. In the beginning you hate him and you yell when the leading female starts to fall for him but then you start to fall too.

The ending leaves you on the edge of your seat and you begging for the next book now!

I always get sucked into Glines books and that's what I love about her work.

Book Review: Marrow by Tarryn Fisher

This book is definitely unique. I'm still not sure what happened. Margo Moon is a the prostitute's daughter. Her mother can be harsh and uncaring, similar to the place she calls home. Margo moves from the shy girl not wanting to be seen to a strong girl that is wanting to dish out poetic justice. As she moves through the book she starts to act on her instincts of justice. Some of the scenes will make you want to cringe as well as cheer her on. The people that receive her poetic justice are more than deserving of it but the idea of taking a life is also a hard thing to embrace. I don't blame her yet I do. It's very confusing and it makes you think about what you would do if you were in Margo's situation.  Move forward in the book some more and you find that she is suffering from a mental disorder. She has made up certain people in her life, or has she? I don't completely trust her doctor either and if you've read Mud Vein then you know why. I never could re...

Meet the characters of Pedal to the Metal: Jagger & Londynn

As I finish up the edits on Pedal to the Metal: Jagger & Londynn I thought you might enjoy seeing the pictures that inspired the characters. Enjoy! Pedal to the Metal: Jagger & Londynn follows the story of Jagger James and Londynn Parrish. Jagger is one of five brothers that have a need for speed. They are all named after 80s music stars, they all race as if their lives depend on it and their all a little bad ass. They grew up on the poorer side of town but it only made them fight harder at the races every weekend.  Jagger met a girl named Harlyn Bexton as a teenager and quickly fell in love. After high school they started a life together only to have tragedy strike. Staying in L.A. is out of the question for Jagger afterwards so he runs to Vegas only to return five years later. Londynn Parrish is your typical trust fund baby. Born and raised in one of the richest parts of L.A., attended a private academy and was given anything money could buy. However, what she wants...

Like the stray cat she's allergic to, but continues to care for. Like her small-town newspaper, a business that’s been dying a slow death for the better part of a decade. And like Micah. Her best friend and the man she has loved since they were kids, back when no one else cared.   As for him… Micah Leven loves Presley. She’s the girl who’s always been there to help, the one who knows all the ugly things about him and makes him believe he can be a better man, the one who will never leave because she’s promised over and over.  But he also loves Mara.  Mara is his ideal. She’s the dream he conjured up as a boy and never wavered from. She’s beautiful, ambitious, driven, a fellow newscaster at his Atlanta station, and the perfect asset for the life he’s a...
